All the examples listed i this video screams Bootlegger and Baptist dynamics. Especially the first example of zoning.
NIMBYism, demonstrates the core ideological paradox of progressives, they love giving lip service to left-wing policies, but even these socially “conscious” pundits don’t want section 8 housing around the corner from their McMansion.
Many progressive policies have been strategically gamed and seem to embody the institutional issue of concentrated benefits. Hearing how tax revenue for public schools in Cook County alone was extremely telling.
